It's not hta hard. Here are two great recipes, the Video Recipe of Mara, above, and a wonderful easy to make Tira Mi Su Recipe from Best Selling Italian Cookbook Author Daniel Bellino Zwicke ...

Enjoy Tira Mi Su for Christmas this year, with one of these two great recipes. "Buon Natale"

TIRA Mi SU - RECIPE :

1 - 1/2 cups very strong coffee, cooled

1  Tbsp. Dark Rum

1  Pinch of Kosher Salt

⅓ cup Sugar

1  cup chilled heavy cream

1/2  cup mascarpone

3  large Egg Yolks

24  Ladyfingers

PREPARATION :

Step 1

Lightly oil a 9x5" loaf pan and line with plastic wrap, leaving plenty of overhang. Whisk coffee, rum, salt, and 1 Tbsp. sugar in a shallow dish until sugar and salt dissolve. Chill until ready to use.

Step 2

Whisk cream and mascarpone in a medium bowl just until smooth. Set aside.

Step 3

Pour water into a large saucepan to come 2" up the sides and bring to a simmer. Combine egg yolks, remaining ⅓ cup sugar, and 2 Tbsp. water in a medium heatproof bowl. Set bowl over pan and reduce heat to low so water is at a bare simmer. Using an electric mixer (or a large whisk and a friend to fill in when your arm cramps), beat mixture on medium-high until eggs triple in volume and are extremely pale yellow and mixture forms a slowly dissolving ribbon when drizzled over itself in bowl, 5–7 minutes. Remove bowl from heat.

Step 4

Using clean beaters (or whisk), beat reserved cream mixture until medium peaks form. Add egg yolk mixture and gently fold until no streaks remain.

Step 5

Working one at a time, dip ladyfingers into chilled coffee mixture and let soak just long enough for them to soften, 1–2 seconds per side. Lay 8 cookies in prepared pan (it’s okay to smush them in a bit). Spread one-third of filling over. Layer another 8 soaked ladyfingers on top and spread half of remaining filling over. Repeat layers one more time with remaining ladyfingers and filling. Cover pan with plastic wrap; chill tiramisù until firm, at least 6 hours and up to 12 hours (longer is better; you’ll get cleaner slices and the layers will be fully set).

Step 6

Invert a small platter or a large plate over top of loaf pan, hold together tightly, and flip them over so plate is underneath. Set on a work surface and carefully remove pan. Peel away plastic wrap from tiramisù; discard. Generously dust tiramisù with cocoa powder. Serve in slices, dusting with more cocoa powder if desired.

Step 7

Do Ahead: Tiramisù (without cocoa powder) can be made 3 days ahead. Keep chilled.

21 CLUB to Reopen

The 21 CLUB

21 West 52nd Street

New York NY

"Yes The 21 Club will ne Opening Soon"

Renowned prohibition era restaurant, 21 Club located at 21 W 52nd Street has been closed since New York City became the epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was announced this week that the beloved eatery will not re-open.

Just beyond the rustic, iron gates of 21 Club stands an army of jockeys looking at a bustling sidewalk on 52nd street between 5th and 6th Avenue. Although the figurines cluster the balcony and steps, the 90-year-old historic eatery is looking rather stark these days. The vibrant light emitting from its gold trim doorway has vanished, replaced by a sign reading, “The state mandates, ’21’ Club is temporarily closed.”

Established in 1930, 21 Club has become known for it’s eye-catching display of jockeys along its gate. The tale behind this quirky décor was first started by Jay van Urk, a sportsman and longtime patron, who donated the first jockey figurine in the early 1930s, and since then the Vanderbilt, Mellon, and well-known stables in American thoroughbred racing have followed suit by bestowing similar sculptures.

Prohibition in the United States took place from 1920 to 1933, so when 21 Club opened they had devised a hidden wine cellar with camouflaged doors in which to conceal alcoholic goods. According to 21 Club website, the cellar has held over 2,000 cases of wine over the years, including the private collection of Elizabeth Taylor, Sophia Loren and even former President Richard Nixon.

PICASSO

WOMEN RUNNING on The BEACH

After PICASSO

From FINE ART AMERICA

SHOP THE PICASSO STORE

The rounded monumental figures of Picasso's f neo-Classical period of the early 1920s sees a return to his 1992 painting Two Women Running on the Beach, with all its traditional religious connotations. Neo-Classicism originally applies to the late eighteenth- and early nineteenth-century revival of Classical motifs, subjects and decorations, with the inspiration coming from the 1748 excavations of Pompeii and writings of the German archaeologist, Winckelmann. Picasso visited Pompeii and some Italian museums of Classical art in 1917, and their influence began to assert itself in this post-war series of colossal figures. A general reaction against the pre-war excesses and violent origins of Cubism and Expressionism saw a popular desire in art for the order, rationalized structure and humanity represented by this eighteenth-century movement.

The vivid blues and the flowing hair here are anchored in the elongated brown limbs, contorted yet supple. There's a sense of fullness that makes you feel that this is how life must be lived - and war must be abandoned.

It's a known fact that the women in Picasso's paintings are the women who inhabited his life at various times. His works are littered with references to artist model Amelie Lang, Eva Gouel, ballerina Olga Khokhlova, Marie-Thérèse Walter, surrealist photographer Dora Maar, art student Françoise Gilot, Genevieve Laporte and Jacqueline Roque. They gave of themselves to his art and his work is revealing of their personalities and the kind of relationship he had with each.

Editorial Reviews :

Review :Great Recipes & Stories of Italian-America .... I didn't know what to expect before I loaded this on to my Kindle and started reading. The premise of the book is a set of Italian recipes with each one accompanied by a story. This is the first of its kind that I've ever read or even heard of, so I thought I'd give it a chance and wasn't disappointed after finishing it a few days ago.

Daniel does a great job of creating the recipes and making sure that each one feels authentic and taste wonderful. All of the stories with each recipe is also well done and does a great job of connecting the food to the story. It's hard to figure out which one is more enjoyable. The story side or the recipe side of this novel, but I had to chose it would be the recipe side of the novel as the recipes are truly great and highlight Italian cuisine. If you're looking for a great cook book to give you some great Italian dishes to try out all courses, with a few stories to read while your food is cooking, then this is definitely the book you've been looking for. As it does a splendid job of creating wonderful, quality meals..Buy This One ...

This is The Best Italian Cookbook Ever !Authentic Italian Cooking ... Many of the recipes are very close to those, my grandmother, who was from Sicily, made. These recipes are very good. My only critique is that the book could be edited better, but the recipes are very good. Buy the book if you want authentic italian recipes. From the AuthorI'd like to thank everyone who has obtained anyone of my books and for your many kind words about some of the joys the recipes and stories within have pleased you. It's truly an honor for me for each and every book that anyone obtains of mine and I thank each and everyone of you. A special thanks to those who have said Sunday Sauce is  The Best Italian Cookbook Ever.

Sincerely,Daniel.

For a 2 Year Period between 2014 to 2016 the Kindle Edition of SUNDAY SAUCE was # 1 BEST SELLER of ITALIAN COOKBOOKS on AMAZON KINDLE longer than any other cookbook.

Buffalo Chicken Wings Recipe

Screen Shot 2016-01-12 at 4.25.22 PM

 BUFFALO WINGS ORIGINAL RECIPE

After Burgers and Pizza, these Buffalo Chicken Wings may very well be America’s 3rd most popular dish. And guess what? They’re not just American, they’re Italian American Teressa Bellissimo one night at her families Anchor Bar in Buffalo New York. Legend has it that Teressa’s son Dom was hanging out at the bar one night with his buddy’s. The guys were hungry so Mamma Bellissimo whipped up a little snack for the boys. Teressa fried up some wings, made a little hot sauce and coated the wings with them. And served them to the boys. They went nuts they loved them. They started serving them as a free at the bar for the bar customers. It was just a matter of weeks before all of Buffalo found out about these tasty wings. They became famous almost over night, whereby the Bellissimo’s stopped serving them for free at the bar and put them on the menu. The Bellissimo’s served Italian Food at their Anchor Bar, and the Italian Food was quite special. However the Bellisimo’s tasty Chicken Wings quickly out sold all the regular Italian Specialty Dishes and the Bellissimo’s Wings became the number 1 best seller on the menu. Not only that, but Teressa’s Italian-American created Chicken Wings became uber famous all over America and subsequently all over the World. That’s Italian, “Italian-American.”

 RECIPE :

Ingredients: 36 chicken wing pieces (one wing makes 2 pieces -
the "flat" and amp; the drum)
 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tablespoons white vinegar
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon Tabasco Sauce
6 tablespoons Frank’s Hot Sauce (or other)
6 tablespoons unsalted Butter or Margarine
Celery Sticks
1 bottle of Blue Cheese Dressing

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.

Cut whole wings into two pieces at the joint.

In a bowl toss the wings with the oil, and salt. Place chicken wings into a large plastic shopping bag, and add the flour. Shake to coat evenly.

Remove wings from the bag, shaking off excess flour, and spread out evenly on oiled foil-lined baking pan(s). Do not crowd. Bake for about 20 minutes, turn the wings over, and cook another 20 minutes, or until the wings are cooked through and browned.

While the Wings are baking, mix all the ingredients for the sauce in a pan, and cook over low heat for 6 minutes, stirring occasionally.

After the Wings are cooked, remove from oven.

Place wings in a large bowl and pour sauce over wings to coat. Mix thoroughly.

Serve with Blue Cheese Dressing and fresh Celery Spears.

Enjoy your Wings ! Enjoy the Game, "It's SUPER BOWL SUNDAY" !
