Valentine's Day (or Saint Valentine's Day) is observed on February 14 each year. Today Valentine's Day is celebrated in many countries around the world, mostly in the West, although it remains a working day in all of them. The original "St. Valentine" was just a liturgical celebration of one or more early Christian saint named Valentinus. All the modern romantic connotations were added several centuries later by poets. The day first became associated with romantic love in the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in the High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished. By the 15th century, it had evolved into an occasion in which lovers expressed their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery, and sending greeting cards (known as "valentines").Modern Valentine's Day symbols include the heart-shaped outline, doves, and the figure of the winged Cupid. Since the 19th century, handwritten valentines have given way to mass-produced greeting cards.
I LOVE Em !!! Dam? They are so Dam Good. 1st Off, I'm Not a Vegetarian, but about 8 years ago I started eating a lot less meat and more Veggies, and usually go 3 to 4 days a week Meatless. I was looking for a tasty Veggie Burger that I would LIKE and the 1st one I tried ( Quninoa Cowboy Veggie Burger by TRADER JOES) and it was literally LOVE at 1st BITE. "I just couldn't believe How Dam Tasty this Veggie Burger is. A week later I tried the Trader Joe's Masala Burger, it's not that good. The Quinoa Cowboy Burger has the Masala Veg Burger BEST by 1,00 times and I don't recommend the Masala Burger at all. I pan fry my Quinoa Cowboy Burger in a little Olive Oil on both sides, put it on a Toasted Buttered English Muffin with a little Mustard, Mayo, & Ketchup, Cheddar Cheese and 4 slices of Dill Pickle. It's so dam Tasty and I LOVE it so much, I can't stop eating them . PS I don't like the Trader Joe's English muffins, I'm sad tos ay, they're not that good. I use another brand. But I do LOVE most things I try at TRADER JOE'S. GREAT Company.
After Burgers and Pizza, these Buffalo Chicken Wings may very well be America’s 3rd most popular dish. And guess what? They’re not just American, they’re Italian American Teressa Bellissimo one night at her families Anchor Bar in Buffalo New York. Legend has it that Teressa’s son Dom was hanging out at the bar one night with his buddy’s. The guys were hungry so Mamma Bellissimo whipped up a little snack for the boys. Teressa fried up some wings, made a little hot sauce and coated the wings with them. And served them to the boys. They went nuts they loved them. They started serving them as a free at the bar for the bar customers. It was just a matter of weeks before all of Buffalo found out about these tasty wings. They became famous almost over night, whereby the Bellissimo’s stopped serving them for free at the bar and put them on the menu. The Bellissimo’s served Italian Food at their Anchor Bar, and the Italian Food was quite special. However the Bellisimo’s tasty Chicken Wings quickly out sold all the regular Italian Specialty Dishes and the Bellissimo’s Wings became the number 1 best seller on the menu. Not only that, but Teressa’s Italian-American created Chicken
Wings became uber famous all over America and subsequently all over the World. That’s Italian, “Italian-American.”
RECIPE : Ingredients:
36 chicken wing pieces
(one wing makes 2 pieces - the "flat" and amp; the drum)
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tablespoons white vinegar
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon Tabasco Sauce
6 tablespoons Frank’s Hot Sauce (or other)
6 tablespoons unsalted Butter or Margarine
Celery Sticks
1 bottle of Blue Cheese Dressing
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
Cut whole wings into two pieces at the joint.
In a bowl toss the wings with the oil, and salt. Place chicken wings into a large plastic shopping bag, and add the flour. Shake to coat evenly.
Remove wings from the bag, shaking off excess flour, and spread out evenly on oiled foil-lined baking pan(s). Do not crowd. Bake for about 20 minutes, turn the wings over, and cook another 20 minutes, or until the wings are cooked through and browned.
While the Wings are baking, mix all the ingredients for the sauce in a pan, and cook over low heat for 6 minutes, stirring occasionally.
After the Wings are cooked, remove from oven.
Place wings in a large bowl and pour sauce over wings to coat. Mix thoroughly.
Serve with Blue Cheese Dressing and fresh Celery Spears.
Enjoy your Wings ! Enjoy the Game, "It's SUPER BOWL SUNDAY" !

FAICCO'S PORK STORE
Greenwich Village, New York
We're making Clemenza's Mob War #Godfather Sunday Sauce (Gravy) on Black Friday. We're not gonna waste our time waiting on lines, getting all "Bent Out of Shaped," and stressed out like those people who shop on Thanksgiving and Black Friday. No, our day is going to be a whole lot better and more fulfilling than fight traffic and crowds. We go down early in the morning to our local Italian pork Store Faicco's on Bleecker Street to get all our stuff for our tasty Sunday Sauce.
I pick up all the meats I need to make the my Sunday Sauce alla Clemenza. I need Italian Sweet Sausages, Braciole, San Marzano Tomatoes, and Maccheroni.
Cousins Daniel and Anthony Bellino make their family's famed Sunday Sauce Gravy at Anthony's fathers house in Lodi, NJ .. They are keeping up a family tradition that they've been partaking in since they were young boys in the early 1960's America. Daniel even wrote a couple books that are themed around this most important subject of SUNDAY SAUCE Italian Gravy. Daniel likes to put Pork Spare Ribs in his sauce, which he says, "Oh my God, the Ribs in the Sauce? When you cook Spare Ribs in the Gravy, you just can't believe how tasty they are. The are so succulent and juice. They taste so Dam Good. Even better than BBQ Ribs, which I love as well. But the Ribs in the Sunday Sauce taste even better, believe it or not? I kid you not."
Our Thanksgiving Turkey
"We had this yesterday. It came out Dam Good."
Like all Good Italians, we started our Thanksgiving Dinner with a little Antipasto Misti of Salami, Provolone, Olives, Celery and Roast Peppers. The we sat down for a portion of Rigatoni Bolognese, made with my Famous ragu Bolognese Sauce. The we take an hour break, before sitting down for the Turkey with all the trimmings. Our Turkey came out so good.
We take another hour break before sitting down for all our desserts, which included; Pumpkin Pie, Coconut Custard Pie, Pecan Pie, "Wow, that's a lot of Pies?"
We have Espresso, Cannolis, and Italian Cookies, and a couple shots of Amaro to finish it all off, and another Thanksgiving has come and gone.
Yes, many families will go shopping on Black Friday, and Cyber Monday, but not us. We'll be eating Sunday Sauce on Friday and having Meatball Parmigiano Sandwiches on Meatball Parm Mondays. Now that's Italian! What would you rather do? Fight Traffic and crowds and lines at the shopping malls, or eat Sunday Sauce and Meatballs? I know what I'll be doing. Me, my family and friends. We Mangia Bene Tutto!
